Just stopped home for a minute
Sold 150 of 250 sh OVTI @ $18.40 for an $85 gain. Letting the rest run.
Sitting on 100 sh NTAP for now. Bought 100 sh EXPD w/ limit order this morning @ $44.75. This is a longer term buy for now. May increase position. Holding a bad short (for now) of TXN I didn't post because it was a gamble. 250 sh @ $33.42. Stop loss just above yesterday's highs of $33.95. Couldn't break it this morning, hopefully a good sign. Positions are light because I've been too busy to be able to research past few days. Working too damn much! Gotta get back. Good luck today all. |

Just a suggestion. TXN could end up being a great trade for you, but I would suggest that if you are going to short a stock that has taken a beating in recent sessions than you should do so once it gets a bounce (short covering or whatever it may be) back to a moving average. Then, if you see some resistance at that moving average you can then identify an entry point and a covering point. In this case, I would use the 20 day ma. Good luck!

Thanks Giants. I thought I saw something I didn't see yesterday late when I shorted it so I knew it wasn't good shortly afterward. Figure in a major downtrend, it'll come down eventually but didn't want to hold it if it's beating yesterday's highs. Either way, the risk isn't much so I'm holding it until the stop loss or the drop.
