Picked up a nice position today. Great positive technicals on CIEN right now.

Close Above the 50-day EMA today and MACD - Bullish

CIENA help up rather well on Friday. Looking to make solid $$$ on this stock and also picked up some calls to go along with it.

13-Mar-08 Lehman assumes coverage on select communication equipment names before the open....Firm assumes coverage on CIENA (CIEN) with an Overweight and a $35 tgt saying CIEN remains their favorite optical pick as they believe the co is strategically positioned to benefit from network capacity constraints/ bandwidth demands, and the larger transition to Ethernet/IP based networks....

I'm in. The technicals are causing some buzz and the momentum could carry it up on it's own. The number's look good also.

Friday's market sell off on Bear Sterns gave a nice in on CIEN. Good call. Let's see where it goes.

Probably good for more but I sold the position + $1.12

Didn't want to hold anything through the fed cut announcment while I couldn't watch it.

Bought back a smaller position just before the close today @ 28.35. Likely keep this one longer term.

Good Idea. CIEN is shaping up perfect, its 50 and 13 ema are coming together. Its held up really and I expect a good return on this trade. It been a little sideways, but everything is pointing to a breakout

Nice day for CIEN, love the break over 30 and is looking very strong. Volume should start picking up soon.

CIEN has definitely broke out today. Solid day in the market, TY JP Morgan. Hope some got in on CIEN. This one is definitely a winner. May see some resistance around 34 when it broke down in late december.

NP Goods, CIEN is reacting just like I thought and I love the volume today. I mentioned on Thursday it will start picking up now that it is was boised for the breakout and now we got the volume to back up the breakout.

Nice work. I have been taking profits on the runs myself and still own it. CIEN has been a real $$$ maker for me.

Check out CIEN on the 5 day chart, a little delay but this is why I think it is shaping up solid for a breakout.

Stopped out when it dipped back under $32. Been watching for a pullback toward $31 to grab some more.

One of the best trades this year for me. Great call.
