A Key component to beating the books

In sportsbetting is discipline

The better you have it, the greater your chances of success.

Ask yourself the following questions :

Do I ever bet just for actions sake or because I'm watching the game and not because my capping likes the game ?

Do I ever bet abnormal amounts to make up for losses ?

Do I ever bet for actions sake even when I haven't had time to cap games ?

If you answered yes to any of those or deep down you know that when it comes to your sportsbetting your discipline is not good.

I have some basic advice that has worked well for me and could do for you too........

Alot of what we do as people is due to habits and because we like routine.
What you need to do is get in the habit (starting as of your next betting day!) of practising good discipline. Initially it won't be easy. Over time it will get easier and easier to practise good discipline. Write down all the things you think you need to improve and put them into practise-starting your next betting day! You are in effect writing your own personal gameplan, it must come from within.

Its just the same in other areas of life, having worked as a fitness consultant alot of people have a hell of a time starting out a fitness regime, once they get into it, it becomes alot easier and they are nearly always pleased they got into it. Same when starting a new job......you get the picture.

Discipline in sportsbetting practise it today

I think that applies to everyone especially in sportsbetting, where you usually fend for yourself. Although with the growth of the net so much info is avaliable, hopefully too many others don't need to learn the hard way.

I too was undisciplined looking back, pleased those days are well behind me been in pretty good habits for awhile now.

You are right. It's very easy to be undisciplined when it comes to everything available but in the end discipline will probably determine the difference between a winning and losing season.

I also think (abit of a generalisation but true in alot of cases) that people with good discipline in other areas of their lives are more likely to have it when it comes to their sportsbetting.

Yeah - but I think discpline also comes as you get a bit older. When I was 20 I bet on anything I could - no matter what. I was also not very disciplined in anything in life back then so I definitely agree

Just to draw on a few examples of members here :

Keith------Does a workout early most mornings before work

Ron Mexico-------Scratch golfer

Dr Jack-------Doesn't drink alcohol often at all

Sorry to single you 3 guys out, just making a point

All shows these 3 people have very good discipline and should be something that should be looked up to

Good discipline also shows an emotionally strong person in alot of cases.

lmao geez I'm getting too deep now time to stop.........lol
