KPS Capital purchases Labatt and Genesee breweries
This completes the Inbev aquisition on AB
There was a stipulation that Labatt had to be sold off to complete the transaction because of monopoly laws
KPS is a private equity firm based in NY city and has agreed to purchase Labatt and Highfalls Brewing Company (AKA Genesee) in 2 seperate transactions
Labatt will continue to be brewed in Canada for at least the next 3 years and Genesee will continue being brewed in Rochester by the Highfalls Breweing Company
The newly formed company will be known as North American Breweries Inc
