A sportsbook's expected hold on any widley wagered sports event is around 4% so at a glance it is evident that the Super Bowl is typically very profitable for those excepting wagers. This is due in large part to the wide variety of proposition wagers which usually carry more than the standard 10% juice. Parlays and teasers are also heavily bet on during the Super Bowl and these wagers also carry higher negative expectations for bettors.
