my bro in law did it. Took like 4 days to fully heal. he woke up the next morning and had his eyesight full with no blur. Loves it.

Jay ,I had this done in March of 2006.I had a bad astigmitism so I had to wait until technology caught up with the game.I honestly feel it was one of the best things I have ever done in my life. One of the reasons is driving at night was starting to be hard to do because I was getting reflections and light sensitivity.I am only 45 now but since I had the surgery I havent had a problem. From what they tell me it depends alot on your age when you have it done, as well as your prescrption if you currently wear glasses.I guess there is a hardening of your lens that happens with age.I wore glasses for 14 years because of the same reason I got Lasik. They told me I would probably need those dime store low power reading glasses to read a book or use the computer.I was lucky and havent had to yet.I also have talked to alot of people older than me as well as younger and they all feel the same way as me.Though everybody does experiance different results because most had different situations.I can tell you the doctor said in my situation I experianced the perfect result.I do have light sensitivity still so I almost always wear sunglasses when I am outside in daylight.I also do avoid turning on alot of lights on at home.As for how long I could see right after the surgery, you do have to use special medicated drops for a few days afterwards. If you follow the doctors instructions and DO NOT RUB YOUR EYES you will heal fast.Make sure you get somebody to drive you and then go home and sleep for a few hours afterwards.I know people that didnt sleep afterwards and it took them longer to heal.I did have to go back the next day because they cut a flap in your corneal lens and mine folded over which was rare. They give you protective glasses to sleep with so you dont scratch your eyes when sleeping.Be real careful with these because they tend to slide over to the side when you turn over when sleeping.

Any way I didnt want to write a book on this but obvoiusly I do recommend it and like I say beyond the initial problem, I had I would do it all over again. As well as most of my friends that had it done feel the same way.

Jay,

Had it done Dec. 2000. Was one of the best things I ever did. I was so blind I couldn't even see the big letter E on the eye chart. After the surgery I was seeing 20/20. Went in for a test a few months ago and still at 20/20. Would recommend it to everyone.

Laser eye surgery is very effective.

Many airline pilots have had that procedure done.

It does not hurt at all and the recovery time is relatively short.

My grandmother had it done and walked out of the clinic wearing an eyepatch a couple of hours later.

Done in 2004. Went from 20/400 to 20/20.

The BEST money ever spent easily. Doesn't hurt a bit either. Surgery on Thursday and back to work Monday. It does about 6 months to fully heal though so your sight with differ day to day on occasion but nothing major
