I had it done back in november, and i would recommend it to everybody who wants to get rid of thier eyeglasses of contact lenses. I have had no problems since the surgery and I feel awesome. For sure get it done, you wont be disappointed

Going on 9 years for me. My only regret was not doing it sooner. Good luck, you'll love it.

Nothing but good things i hear from everyone that has it done. My eye doctor said it was a great idea for anyone under 40. If your over 40, you eyes will eventually need reading glasses, and if your job entails computer work, reading, putting small pieces together etc, you will end up having to wear glasses anyway, even after the lasik.

I wouldn't worry about the risk as much as i would be concerned with your out of pocket cost, given if you are over 40, you may end up needing glasses anyway in just a few years.

Bottom Line --
If you are young, go for it, if you are older, weight the cost.

I've read way too much about the possible complications to risk it myself, I've only got two eyes, and I value my sight tremedously.

Put "lasik complications" into google and read for yourself about some of the horrors that some have gone through.

A flap is cut open, and it doesn't heal back to anywhere near full strength...

Some have permanent dry, painful eyes, others see starburst patterns at night, some see lines of light, others halos, the list goes on and on...
