Lasorda denies spending money on prostitutes

Former Los Angeles Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda denies that he paid for prostitutes, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

Lasorda's name reportedly had been on a list of clients of convicted madam Jody "Babydol" Gibson, details of which were due to be released Thursday in a tell-all book.
The 79-year-old Hall of Famer didn't want to talk to the L.A. Times about the allegations — except to personally deny them and insist he had never spoken to Gibson, let alone paid her for sex.
Lasorda already had refuted the allegations in a written statement. Lasorda also said he probably won't sue Gibson, despite his attorney's claim that he intended to do so. As for the Dodgers, a team spokeswoman said Lasorda won't be punished as a result of his name being linked to the scandal.
