The internet phenomenon of "Rickrolling" gains its name from Rick Astley. The phrase is used when someone is tricked into clicking on a video link, thinking it to be something they expect, and instead the video is a music video of one of Astley's songs. This song is usually his biggest hit, Never Gonna Give You Up. This evolved from the use of a picture of a duck on wheels when mistaken for something else on the 4chan forums, which is called "duckrolling." Rickrolling is most commonly practiced on the World of Warcraft forums.
In 2007, the YouTube video of the song has become an internet meme (starting on 4chan) where the link is posted on an internet forum, and users click on it expecting it to be another video are surprised by the distinctly 1980's video. This is called getting 'Rickrolled'.
