In-law Question

I have not said anything to my wife about this, but it has been bugging the shit out of me.

My in-laws live down in LA and come up to visit a couple times a year. Usually stay for 2 nights.

I could be completly wrong here but let me know what you think.

When we go out to dinner, is it wrong of me to expect them to at least OFFER to pay. My frikin father in-law always grabs the bill and splits the f*cker in half down to the penny!!!

When ever we go out to dinner with my parents my dad will never let us pay for a meal.

I'm not looking for a free meal, I just think if you stay at someones house and eat there food and drink my damn beer you can at least offer to pay for something.

I'm I totally wrong here???

They should pick up the whole tab.If they had to stay at a motel it would cost them a lot more.I end up paying for everything on both sides because mine and the wifes families are bitch ass poor

I have not said anything to her. Did not wan't to start a fight. She never likes to have people pay for us.

I don't mind paying, all I want is the guy to offer to pay.

Trick him up next time.. When you get the chance give the server your credit card and tell them to pay the bill with that and just bring back the card at the end of the meal.. Joke he can pickup the next meal...Now you have him setup for the next time to pickup the tab ... At that meal order Lobster tail ...Lots of it...GL....

My father in law hardly lets me pay back money I owe him . I feel like I'm insulting him if I offer to pay for a meal.
