The answer is yes and no, if the marine life is by the top of the water and gets his then yes, but if it is deep enough then the marine life is safe

Answer:

1. Yes

The lightning current is able to travel through water quite well, it all depends on how far away the marine life is, as to whether or not it will survive the strike.
