loging on problems=picks canceled

I don't understand I was trying to log on to place the picks for 45 minutes and when I was finally able to login with the picks it was 1:04 not my fault for it being late

Edge,

The contest thread is open all week. As a participant you have the right to wait until the final hour to make your picks however you also do not give yourself much room if there is a problem that is out of our control. The server issue or the site going down is an example of that. The rules are in place and there are no exceptions. In that contest you could have played later games but you can’t play games after they start regardless of the situation leading up to it.

Although we are working on the server problem – I would suggest for contest purposes only that you leave yourself some room in case a situation like this arises again. We apologize for any inconveneince

That was the point I was trying to get across to members yesterday.

If you aren't posting picks or looking for picks or doing any other WAGERING related activities.....please LOGOFF.....because there are members trying to login to perform certain activities that have a time constraint.

You can logon AFTER 1:00PM EDT and do whatever your heart desires.

EVERYONE's cooperation is required in this matter.....because next time, it may be YOU that is locked out.

It is only for Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Skippy, I see that you had posts yesterday at 12:33, 1:08, 1:10, and 1:10 and probably the only reason that you did not have any posts between 12:33 and 1:08 was because you were not able to log-in.

If you are going to repeatedly call for everyone to "cooperate", you might want to practice what you preach.

Of course they were as the site was down. There were no posts in the Pro Football Forum between 12:38 and 1:06 which tells me that you were posting right up until the time the site went down and then again two minutes after it was back up.

Seriously though – no one should have to logout. We did a lot of advertising and our traffic is growing faster than our servers. We purchased new servers and are awaiting their arrival and then we will move the site to them. Once this happens this will not be a problem any longer. I hope it happens in time for this weekend. Until it happens our host is working hard to keep the site up and we will try a few more things tonight as well.
