Looking For A Laptop...

Okay, been doing some research. Have some ideas of what I want, but was wondering if someone here might bring something to my attention that I may have not found.

Here is what I am looking for:
13 - 15" Screen (1080p would be great)
Windows 7
2 - 2.5 GHZ - Intel Core 2 Duo (I want Intel Core 2 Duo, nothing else)
3 or 4 GB Ram (DDR3 would be nice)
200 - 350 GB Hard Drive
CD/DVD Burner
HDMI Input/Output so I can wire it to my HD TV.
Webcam would be cool

If someone can find something like that between 400-700 bucks. that would be awesome. Thanks.

yeah. i raised it to 700 as my range. i found a toshiba that fits what I am looking for 600 bucks at bbuy.

The brands I keep cycling thru are Toshiba, HP and Acer at the price range I am looking for. I just dunno how I feel about each brands longevity.

Thing is though. Im not really looking for a laptop to do more than view media, surf the internet, and type every now and then. Not going to use it to download torrents or anything. I have a desktop and external hard drives that I would use to download music/movies too.

As a purchaser of an Acer lap top I would suggest going elsewhere....I would stick with the bigger brand names that have better reviews. 6 months into my purchase and there were issues with the hard drive that were manufactured errors.

been with my toshiba for over 2 yrs now. No problems with it that I can think of. Have to agree with Nightcap as well on bigger brand names. Even HP I would be leary of, have friends that were not too happy with them and I have had 3 HP printers and all gave me trouble.

I got an HP Mini Netbook that does these things perfect for me. If these are the things you really only need it for... take a serious look at getting a netbook. I love mine.

I've had an acer for 2 years now and it still works great. I think it has a celeron M processor, but only cost 400 new. Definitely been worth the price

2 Toshiba laptops, I have never had any issues with either of them. Got a satellite 505 at best buy recently for around $500 it was a great deal, good computer for the money.

truth is it is hit and miss with any brand . I have had all of the above and eventually had some type of problem. I prefer the aesthetics of the hp right now.
