Have only ever used a PC and enjoy it quite a bit. Honestly, I think if I tried a mac, I would feel like a fish out of water.

Like both PC and Mac, but prefer Mac.

Work with both. Personally use Macs throughout the house. They both have benefits and issues.

Go with a Mac, unless you are going to be using it for work and school. Mac is much more dependable and will not bog down, you don't need virus software. It's just a much more user friendly and innovative.

I had to also get a PC because sadly at work and school much of the apps you need are not Mac compatible. More importantly, I would recommend going with a laptop with a standalone monitor so you can unplug the monitor and carry it with you around the house. WiFi is avail most anywhere and its nice have mobile internet.

Also download for free open office. It is compatible with MS office and is just as good.

Unless you need it, stay with the low end models, no need to waste money on the latest chip and biggest hard drive. Lastly i would recommend an Intel chip as future upgrades seem to go better with Intel
