make a move on APPLE?

i've been watching apple go down, and have heard that there should be a sell off in the days leading up to and then after the iphone release...

i'm thinking of waiting until a day or so after it comes out and then buy into apple.

anyone care to talk me out of this?

I don't see anything showing the uptrend slowing down.

The iPhone will be huge and unless they all start breaking right away, I can see it being popular for quite a while. Being an iPod too, iTunes should benefit.

Remember that AT&T is the exclusive iPhone provider for now. They should benefit, as well as Google having a direct YouTube link on the phone.

P/E is in line and the PEG is low. The recent couple of point drops can be blamed on the crappy market IMO. They've flat out crushed estimates the last six quarters and I don't expect anything different this quarter.
Also, Jim Cramer said it's time to sell. That's a buy signal most of the time

But if the market completely craps out, AAPL will follow. People without money aren't likely to buy cool toys.

i have to wait for money transfers to clear, so whether i wanted to or not, it looks like i'll have to wait till monday to make the buy anyway...

do you think it'll split anytime soon?
