March Madness

Any fellow cappersmall members going to be in Vegas for this? I just booked my room. Can't start planning early enough. Let me know and we could grab a beer.

I am staying at the new CityCenter Vdara hotel. But will be watching games at the Paris Hotel. They had a great set up there last year.

I am headed out Wednesday through Saturday of opening weekend for a bachelor party. Pretty excited about it, I have been out there a bunch of other times including the Super Bowl two years ago. However, have a feeling this will be a lot more fun with all of the games going non stop. We are staying at Ceasars, just hoping the sportsbook isn't too crowded.

If you are staying at Ceasers it will be pretty crowded. I went to Paris last year and they opened up their theater room and had 4 of their projection TV's going. It seats about 500 people and it is a good time. You all should walk over there for a night and check it out. And I will be there the same days you will be there.

So far I have been there 3 years, and Paris is the best IMO, just because they open up the theater room. The Mirage opens up their room too but their big screens are too spread out for me. Ceasers is cool, but you have to get there really early. And the MGM is ok, but you again have to get there early. Those are the only places I have been.

Yeah, I figured it would be a mess at Ceasars. Was there for a big college football weekend a few years ago and it was packed. I called out and tried to see if you could reserve a table/section, but they said that they don't do that anymore and it is first come/first serve. That is going to be pretty tough for a bunch of drunks like us to get up that early, just remembered that games will start at 9 am Vegas time.

Might check out Paris, is there usually room to grab a seat or two even if you get there during the middle of the day?

Just make sure you get there early enough to wait in line to place your bet. Every book is packed! If you are with a group, have one guy wait in line while the rest figure out all the bets then meet up when that guy gets to the front of the line.

You should, I never had a problem finding a seat and we had about 10 people with us. And it is first come first serve there too. There is a bar right out side were we sent the ladies we were with get the beer. And there are about 6 or 7 places to place wagers right outside the theater.

I do remember the lines being long to place wagers but I usually went at the beginning of the second half of the games going on and there wasnt much of a line
