Margin

How do you all feel about trading on margin? what are the requirements for trading on margin? just wondering if any of you do it and how many in the investing community do it

Margin accts are very common. Gives you the ability to double your available trading funds and I believe you still need a margin acct to be able to short stocks.
Doesn't hurt to have it open to you. You don't have to use it and there's no interest charges unless you borrow against it and hold overnight. As long as you use basic disipline, you'll do fine with it.
