If you don’t get it you’re entering your area code...

1.Grab a calulator ( You’ll need one)

Not neccessary. Just go back in time to your Algebra class.
Let the variable abcdefg (a whole integer number between 1000000 and 9999999) represent your phone number.

2.Enter first 3 digits of your home phone # (EXCLUDING AREA CODE)

abc

3.Multiply by 80

80(abc)

4.Add 1

80(abc)+1

5.Muliply by 250

250{80(abc)+1}= 20 000(abc)+250

6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone #

20 000(abc)+250+defg

7. Add the last four digits again

20 000(abc)+250+defg+defg= 20 000(abc)+250+2(defg)

8. Subtract 250

20 000(abc)+2(defg)

9. Divide your total by 2

10 000(abc)+defg

In step #2, you are mathematically subtracting defg from abcdefg obtaining the whole integer number abc0000. Then you are dividing this number by 10 000 giving you abc. Steps 3 to 9 simply reversus this process in a round about way resulting in a muliplication of 10 000 then an addition of defg and your back to were you started, that is abcdefg.

Mathematics, the matrix of our world.
