Also, the trucks keep rolling........................................... ................................that's why there's a super long distance to the next city. There's absolutely NO WAY these bands will just park a few 18-wheeler trucks with equipment valued in the millions of dollars at the next venue and go home. It's not safe even for 2 hours. It is safe when it is rolling on the highways. Not only Metallica does this, but most outfits. Learned that from the Rolling Stones Tour Crew.

I can't remember which band exactly but their 18-wheeler trucks are always rolling down the highway 12 months a year, whether the band is on tour on not.
(Rolling Stones? Paul McCartney? Pink Floyd?--I forget who.) |

they use two stages. One is already setup in the next city. Double everything, even guitars. The band flies everywhere, these doods haven't seen a bus since the 90's.

Well, I won't be seeing this concert after all. I went to buy my ticket this morning at Capital Tickets and they had none. I asked the gal sold out already? She said not really but they were bought by Corporations and radio stations for promotional purposes. What? They normally buy about 2,000 seats...where are the other 16,000 tickets? She said they can be bought online. But instead of paying $50 or $80 per seat they start off 3x that price. So in other words they never had any tickets for sale. I guess they are starting to play TicketMaster's game that Yankee_23 mentioned earlier. I still think Metallica is worth $300 per seat but I ain't giving it to someone else for doing the same job I can. F that. Government should intervene--it's legal racketeering right now. Can't do anything about it.
Last time I saw Metallica I payed a tad over $100 for my seat. Three months ago a local radio station CHEZ 106 said the price of all concert tickets will go down to increase ticket sales in the entertainment industry. Well, they went down alright--to $80 max but... |
