Methodas People or Anyone Help

Alright, I have a wake to go to today(wife's grandpa) and I haven't been to, too many of these in my life time. And my wife and I were having a debate on what I should wear. I said suit and tie and coat and she said pants and a button up. This thing is at 4 today(RIGHT BEFORE THE SUPER BOWL great timing on this thing.)

Any who thanks all for the advice.

I don't want to look out of place there.

Better to be overdressed than under.

Better to dress up... you don't want to be the @$$hole in jeans and a t-shirt

It's Texas - Business Casual it perfectly fine... Even jeans and nice button-up are good... Hope you didn't do the coat and tie thing...

Naw, I went with the pants and a button up shirt. But I am Catholic and we like to dress up to everything. So for me not wearing a suit and tie was weird for me to one of these things.

Thank you everyone for your advice.
