Miami Heat, James Posey and Two other Athletes Arrested
It was not a good day for Florida professional sports on Easter Sunday. The Heat lost to the Charlotte Bobcats in a pivotal game for playoff seedings which also saw the return from Dwyane Wade who had missed the past 23 games with a dislocated shoulder. Police arrested two Florida Panther hockey players early Monday morning after they refused to leave a nightclub for disorderly conduct. According to Miami Beach Police, 43-year-old goalie Ed Belfour and 33-year-old left wing Ville Peltonen were at Nikki Beach around 1 a.m. when they were asked to leave for disorderly conduct. When the pair refused to leave, an officer responded to the scene. The police blogger did not stop here. At about 4:00 AM the police arrested and booked Miami Heat forward James Posey early Monday morning on charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. According to Miami Beach police, Posey was stopped around 3:50 a.m. for blocking a lane of traffic with his Mercedes. As an officer approached him, Posey presented a Texas license because his Florida license was suspended. The officer said Posey appeared intoxicated, so he was given a sobriety test, which he failed. He was taken to the Miami Beach Police Department and was then booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail.

What an idiot
As the officer approached the men, Belfour got into a fighting position, and the two got into a scuffle, which forced the officer to taser Belfour.

The Heat are so much deeper than last year with Jones, Kapono and Wright. Who will beat them from the East in a 7 game series? I don't think anyone can. The Pistons and Bulls have the best shot.

I didn’t say they are championship material. I said they are the only ones who matchup with the Heat and would have a chance to beat them in a 7 game series
Clev is a one man team with no shot to win the East because of it. Lebron needs help

One man team but that one man carries them in the playoffs. He will get a lot of Jordan rules calls. I think u must have missed the Wiz and Pistons series they played in last year. As a matter of fact, the other guys they have are playing a little bit better now. Varejao is a very underrated player. Hughes is showing glimpses of contributing more and more. Dont forget before his injury Hughes had all star type numbers here with the Wizards, including a great series over the Bulls.

Belfour has a history of substance abuse and getting into trouble with the law while intoxicated dating back to his Blackhawk days, and if I remember right he had troubles in Dallas as well.
