Michael Vick interview on "60 Minutes"

Anyone else catch it?

Not an expert on reading people, but have no doubts that this guy is just saying what we want to hear.

The only thing I feel he is sorry about is that he got caught. The fact that he did what he did and then lied to everyone about it when there was boatloads of evidence showng everything shows the kind of person we are dealing with

Glad that he has "found God", if it's true, and he has paid his due to society, but glad he isn't here, no matter what our QB situation is.

LOL Gerk was thinking the exact same thing. Seemed like he knows he f'd up and won't do it again, but did not seem genuine to me. Doesn't matter to me, guy paid his debt, but come on be a little bit more convincing. James Brown did not do him many favors though either in that interview

I have a lot of respect for Tony Dungy and if he supports Vick, I have to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe that Vick is sincere and has remorse for what he did. Of course, the way these athletes lie, who knows. I only saw the last 10 minutes of interview so hard to tell much from just that. I didnt realize he was introduced to dog fighting when he was only 8 years old. He must have been one messed up kid growing up. I hope he is being truthful and cleans up his act and brings us many years of highlights because lets face it, he is athletic, talented and fun to watch...

I genuinely believe that he knows what he did was entirely wrong. However I don't believe that he "cares" that it happened.

I think from the whole situation he has learned that no matter what his name is, what his profession is, and how much money he has that he can't escape situations like this. Basically he has learned that he needs to stay out of trouble, but he isn't remorseful for what he has done.

All that being said I think he has learned a lot more than your average criminal. There are guys who go through similar things and still don't learn a thing from it, or think that they have done anything wrong. I think Vick genuinely accepts responsibility for the issue, which may not seem like much, but in contrast to other people and their crimes it is.
