Michelle Wie

Am I wrong to think that this young lady should dominate her own LPGA before she starts trying to tackle the men. I know that she can drive 8000 yds and that she is very talented. I would think that are alot of women on the tour that would like to have a "go" at the men and take their chances on playing a couple rounds and being competitive. Has she won a womens tournament or major? Am I wrong or being sexist in this opinion?

I agree with you. BUT, all these companies keep giving her sponsers exemptions to play in these tournaments. If you were her, why not give it a shot???? I don't agree with them giving these spots to her but its not her fault.

I see no problem with it. Anything that is going to boost interest is a positive.

So far there has yet to be a women to be very successful in a mens event.
Sorenstam couldn't even get it done......things are unlikely to change in a hurry.

She's only 16.

PGA players are fine with her competiting in men's tournaments as long as she qualifies for them. People need to realize that these golfers are making a living, if you take away one spot from a golfer who worked his ass off, spent money on traveling to get to the destination, than i feel its a problem.

Tiger Woods was asked what he felt about Wie. He said she needs to learn the Art of Winning. She needs to know how to fight off the pressure, know how to react to a loss or win know how to close the deal. That is why Tiger Woods is so damn good in the Final Round, he knows what decisions to make, he knows how to win. Michelle Wie does not have that luxury.

She has the talent but she needs to work on the mental capacity because she has often competed through 3 rounds and than collapse in the 4th.
