Exclamation << Middle School Shooting in Martinsville, IN >>
Student shot at Martinsville West Middle School - 13 WTHR

Morgan County - Police say a male student was shot Friday morning at West Middle School in Martinsville. The shooting victim was taken by LifeLine helicopter to Methodist Hospital for treatment.

The mayor's office confirms that the shooting suspect was taken into custody. The suspect is possibly a 15-year-old student at the school.

Police are still searching for other possible accomplices.

The school, which has about 600 students, is on lockdown this morning. The shooting occurred outside the cafeteria building.

Police believe the shooting stems from a dispute that started at a school dance last weekend.

--- First off, I'll be interested to hear how he got the gun.....secondly, what the hell is wrong with this kid? Shooting someone based off of a dispute from a dance? Really??

The victim was reportedly shot twice in the stomach....current conditions are unknown.

That is just too sad. I really want to know how a 15-year-old can get in the proper mentality to pick up a gun and shoot somebody twice.
