this is my thoughts in regards to these channels. unfortunately mediacom won't carry them at this time.

almost subscribed to skyangel just so I could get mlb. opted for the package through mlb.com online instead.

AT&T doesnt offer any of the 3 major available packages (MLB, NBA, NHL) but I'm not home enough to justify those anyways.

I can get tons of NCAAF though on what they offer and thats great and as long as I have the 4 major pro sports channels I am good to go.

I sure miss the FTA days though when I could anything I wanted period and that was including 90% of NFL games on Sundays and best of all it was free!

Paying around 160 a month now for 3 TVs with HD & DVR capabilities along with home phone and internet so its not all bad I suppose as far as rate goes.

But thats still an extra 1500 a year I am paying for TV which I never paid for as recently as 2 years ago.

I really like it a lot. Everything is bundled with phone/internet/tv and Ive never had a problem with the service in nearly two years now.

Rates are very competitive considering I have their top U 450 package with 3 total HD receivers, 1 DVR capable which can record 4 shows at once and you can watch any recording on any TV which is cool.

I probably don't need all these channels since our TV is always either cartoons when my daughter is awake and sports or movies in the evening.

They offer basically everything in HD also. I never thought there was a big difference between regular and HD but once you get spoiled with HD regular picture seems fuzzy.

I was beginning to get annoyed with them raising rates every other month but with the additions of NBA TV and especially now MLB Network I don't mind the rate increase.

Plus its not like any of the competitors are any better outside of the intro rates. That and I am locked in for phone/internet at $30 month with U-Verse.

All in all I would definitely recommend
