Are MLB umpires the cockiest of all the major sports?

They've ejected like more than two dozen during first week of July.

Which sports has best or worst officiating?

They seem to be the most aggressive and confrontational. But I don't know if that necessarily makes them the worst.

Without a doubt and its not even close. Some of these guys I truly believe they think fans come to watch them and not the game or players.

The best is when I hear commentators talk about hows so and so's strike zone looks like this, well damn me but isn't there a rule book where it says what is a strike and what is not a strike and they get to decide hey I don't like that rule so I will decide what a strike should really be

exactly...there shouldn't be any sort of subjectivity when such a thing is so definitive

NHL officials are the best. They have to to be in shape and somewhat youthful to skate and keep up with whats going on during the game.

Coin toss between NFL and MLB. They both have old ass officials and MLB has by far the most overweight.

Baseball's umpires are by far the worst for being confrontational and arrogant. And it's better now than it was back when Richie Phillips and the Umpire's Union was at the height of it's power.

I'm generally pro-union, but they got too powerful and too cocky, and when they tried the World's Worst Negotiation Tactic and it backfired, I can't say I was displeased.

that little box on the screen that shows where the ball was thrown relative to the strike zone should be callin' the plays, not these jokers...

well, to be fair...what other sport allows managers/coaches to run onto the field and get in the face of officials?
