Money Line VS Proline

This may seem like a dumb question and has probably been answered before but I couldn't find anything exactly. I understand ML works roughly on the premise of what you must bet to win $100 back for favourites and what you win for a $100 bet on the underdogs. I'm still adjusting to this system and am used to the Proline system where you get an odds (say 1.85) and this is just a multiplier value for, say, a $100 bet wins $185. Is there an easy way to convert between the two, especially for the favourites. I'm a dunce at math and this is probably an easy conversion but my brain refuses to cooperate with me here.

Thanks!

just think about it this way.

European decimal system anything 2 and over means plus money. You just multiple your wager with that odd and that's the outcome

American system is similar +100 and over is plus money. Once you pay the juice just use $100 as an example. Calculate placing a unit rather than winning a unit. So say if there is a line of -200 if you placed $100 you'd only get $50 but if you want to win $100 you'd have to pay $200. So pretty much use those juice lines as an indicator of measuring 100. -350 pay $350 to win $100. Get it?

Gotchya. My only beef is I never play to win a certain amount - I always play 1 unit to win whatever the payout is. I just find the Proline setup easier to find out what my payout will be. For example:
I pick a favourite at 1.65 and bet $100 - I win $165 total (or $65 profit). I find this easier than to look at the line and try to figure out what I win total if I play the -350 line.

if something is like -432 just do 100 divided by 432 and thats your moneyline, add 1 to make it look like proline if you want

You would win: 1 + 100/350 = 1 + 10/35 = 1 + 2/7 ~ 1.27
Therefore, if you bet $100, you stand to win $127

Gryffy... there are a few offshore books that run the same format as pro.line.. with odds like 1.8 instead of -120.... I believe WillHill does this (they are a respected book)..

Ahhh thanks for all the help! That math formula is exactly what I was looking for and thanks for the Pinnacle info. That was actually why I was asking because I'm currently on WillHill but wanted to also play on Pinnacle since WillHill waits til the last possible second to post lines but I hadn't noticed that option on Pinnacle's site.

Thank You to all!

1+ (ML/100) = Proline.
