Movin to 'near' West Palm Beach FL....need help

I'm close to accepting a job offer at a Hotel in West Palm Beach, FL and need advice on where to look for a studio/apt. I'm a 21yr old male, and from what i hear, West Palm is more elderly and im looking for somethin within 30 min from there with a bit more exciting nightlife. Any suggestions as I'm not familiar with FL(lived in NJ my whole life). Thanks

It's not all elderly. Where in WPB is the hotel? Do you know main street or exit?

its the Radisson Hotel on S. Australian Avenue.... It was just my assumption that it was an elderly area. I just recieved this offer yesterday and told my current GM to give me 2 weks to mull it over. I planned on doing actual research about the surrounding areas after the weekend, but just figured i'd ask anyone here for any info they knew.

It has plenty of elderly people but there are areas that are not.

The Boynton Beach area is probably a little less than 30 minutes and may not be a bad area for you. You can probably find something closer.

I am not an expert on that area but do know some of it. I am about an hour or so (little less) from WPB airport. I have some friends and family in that area as well.

iggs, that'd be sick man. Any info helps. I'm lookin online @ condos and apt's and shit, but not sure which ones are in any sketchy areas of town, rundown and not as nice as they look, or which ones might be actually as nice as the pic looks. Again, any info you can throw along is appreciated.

my ex moved there, she absolutely hates it. She's a quiet girl but tells me its rather depressing. But than again she just recently moved there so probably time will tell. Good Luck on the job.

Funk, make sure you dont move by the beach. I tihnk I saw on the news that the city was about to take away everyone's homes that they have lived in for 30 years, tear them down and build luxurious condos and yact clubs. Take from the poor and give to the rich? Doesnt sound like America, huh?
