Mudvayne and shit...turn me on to others.

Just listening to my first Mudvayne CD...
Loving the song " A world so cold "
This is pretty kick ass music, reminds me of Metallica in some way.
Any other songs like that which I missed out on ?
I like this CD !

Mudvayne reminds you of metallica??

Interesting comparision.

IMO, Mudvayne are a funny bunch, just another pure marketing band with the make up and poor lyrics.

I thought the lyrics were great on World so cold and good guitar.
Not in the same world as Metallica, who is.
That song definately did though ! The riffs that Metallica forgot about lately ?

I am going to have to check them out ROME...heard a few at a party and didn't do too much for me. I like the screaming in rage groups.

old metallica was great, their new stuff is rubbish. Amazing how much commercialization does to a band.

Well again we have different opinions. I find nu-metal bands to be full of crap and like i said marketing tools. Mudvayne is in the same level as Slipknot, both ridiculous bands.

If you want to listen to a great bass player than listen to Les Claypool and Primus.

You should start listening to more heavy metal. Start looking into some Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden.

Or some good drinking songs by Motorhead

I like all of them that you mentioned, Sabbath, Priest, and Maiden...and the big hair bands of the late 80's and 90's.
They seem so slow though after listening to the new stuff. Glad you mentioned Slipknot, as that would have been on my list as well.
I liked Primus ( Big Brown Beaver dayz ) and will have to check on them now.
Thanks for the input, agree or not.
