Motley Crue: Their long awaited studio album "Saints of Los Angeles" is scheduled for release June 24. It's been 8 long years. I heard their first hit on the radio already. A bit too much Glam, Pop & Punk in that tune. I hope the rest of the album is harder and more Thrash & Metal.

My bootlegger has finally got a hold of the best available Led Zeppelin's 2007 Reunion Concert at the O2 Arena. I will pick it up this coming weekend or early next week. He doesn't find it that special but told me it's his hottest seller. Fans online are pushing LZ management to release the concert on official CD and DVD format before Christmas. Of course I'd buy the official version too.

I like the Saints of LA single, though it sounds a lot like Primal Scream.
Who would have thought that band would survive this long. Good for them!! CRUE RULES!!! |

Jack & Bob: in a way that single almost sounds a lil' Rock 'n' Rap that the Beastie Boys would do.
WestcoastO: I don't watch cable TV. Actually never watched more than a minute or two of Seinfeld a couple times. I would think Brody is a "booze" bootlegger whereas mine records concerts and copies music wherever he travels. He just gave me a couple DVDs recently that he says didn't make the resell grade. One was Roger Waters in the Radio Kaos era. Thank u very much

Well I finally got a hold of the new Motley Crue CD yesterday. Sold out everywhere. I found it in the 5th store and they price-matched it to the lowest @ $11.99
There's 4 tracks I really like with 2 of them that lean on the punk metal. Not a bad CD. Still worth the price. Expect the "Crue" sound throughout. ...but nothing beats their "Carnival of Sins" Live double DVD from their discography released last year. Get it first! |

Bob,
I'd go just to see Ratt, Dokken, Triumph, Kingdom Come, Lita Ford, Queensryche and Ace Frehley...but these festivals seem to bring the worst of the "best" bands and the best of "worst" bands. So if I would attend it's only fair that I would stay the length. |

I would love to see Tora Tora - probably my favorite of the hair bands and never really got the notoriety they deserved.

Bought 2 newly released DVDs over the weekend:
ZZ Top (Live from Texas): Hit after hit in their first ever live DVD. Fun to watch this trio on stage. No need for them to be fancy--the music speaks for itself even if they have dirty nails. Foxey Lady cover in Special Features. Only $9.99 and worth every penny. Steve Miller Band (Live from Chicago): Hit after hit on 2 DVDs and 1 CD set. Finally...SM on DVD. Steve will turn 67 this year. As with all Classic Rock artists...it's the only thing I look forward to getting old--cranking the guitar amp and/or stereo and Rock the night away. Steve starts the concert slowly with Fly Like an Eagle...and never looks back...and for every song after that in the small venue concert it gets better and better. Not fabulous but pretty darn good and worth the $25.99 Also, bought the latest Def Leppard CD studio work. They have been stagnant over their last three studio albums--this one's no better. After watching "the making of" on the DVD (included) I'll listen to the CD again and see what I've missed out...cuz I doubt I'll listen to it again after that. Def Leppard (Songs from The Sparkle Lounge) Special Edition (1 DVD & 1 CD set). A big disappointment...at least for me. $24.99 |
