The 14 people dead is nothing.
We had over 750+ in 5 days here in the 90's. The bodies were stacked in the morgue, pictures from it were unreal. We had the 2nd warmest month ever here, just missing the record. The heat is everywhere. We finally have a 7-day forecast with all 80 degree temperatures, starting today. You know those Texans will be a lot warmer than us come November.

It isn't bad at all. Just park in covered parking and turn your A/C on.
I will say this, it did take my house 3 hours to cool off 2 degree's yesterday. And this was at 8-11 o clock. It started at 78 and when I went to bed at 11 it was only at 76.

yeah, dallas and austin and even houston always ranked top cities to live on just about every single list that comes out. Take some pics of yourself scraping ice off of your windshield this winter while you breathe in pittsburgh's poison air jeremy
leafer fails again

My parents lived near Dallas for 5 years. Thought I would hate it down there, figuring it was a bunch of dumb rednecks with attitudes, but absolutely loved going down there. Everybody seems to be so proud to be Texan, that they go overboard to be friendly to visitors. By far the friendliest state I have been too, and I've travelled to most. Certainly didnt hit any bad areas, as my parents lived in a nice area, but still... good peeps from my experience. And so many hot women. Rivals California.
Pittsburgh? Kinda dumpy. Not as bad as Cleveland, Buffalo or (OMG) Detroit, but not exactly paradise either. Last edited by JohnnyMapleLeaf; 08-03-2011 at 11:24 AM. |
