i think its a great idea to have the awards given out around here but to me its just 1 big popularity contest

i see alot of members get overlooked but guys that have been around here forever end up with nominations and the awards

many great guys up for awards but in my opinion tooo many questionable nominess

i just think if we are going to have things like this - the politics need to be thrown out the window

I think we need to focus on why we make plays, what we look at, what we see and help us all improve. We all had to learn from someone. Need to share the wealth more.

as far as the others, not sure anyone can argue that buck/2nd base aren't good guys

probably can't argue that mendoza is a good capper

Don't sweat it, nyk. I never even got mentioned for rookie of the year in 2008, but it's not personal. No one should take it that way, either.

We're all here to try and take the books down. The guys I nominate for the awards (which really mean nothing) are the guys I remember because I read them everyday, and they either:

• • make me laugh
• • make me think
• • have solid analysis/breakdowns/feedback on matches
• • hit winners

That's really all that should matter. Honestly nyk, you're a good guy and I read/tail you a lot. Don't sweat the small stuff. Just keep doing what you're doing, bro. Trust me. We notice.
