Cool list Kramer. Hey - let me ask you something... I know you've been losing a lot of weight lately. I've actually lost 40 pounds since Christmas. But I've been stuck at the same weight for about 3 weeks now... can't lose anymore and I'm working out harder now than I was. Have you "hit a wall" like that? - And have you broken through? |

Haven't lost a LOT like you say,
just 5 lbs in one month. Started off at 185 , down to 180. 5/185 = 0.027% of "My" body Mass... Last week I've been the same. The key I beleive for me at least is to set a realistic goal. What is your goal? Mine is 10 lbs by July , I've hit -5 in a month ... 1 LB of "Fat" = 3500 calories. Divide by 7 days means you have to lose 500 calories per day You have to do it by eating less , or exercising more with the same calories, or option 3 which I prefer is a combination of both. 1 LB per week won't make your body go into any "shock" mode ... If you've hit a wall simply check out what you've been doing dif't for the last 3 weeks before the 40 LBS. It may not be a lot but little things My big thing is I actually don't exercise as much as I should , I've simply cut out "BAD" foods, most importantly when you go to the grocery store any item that contains corn starch,syrup DON'T BUY IT Its just sugar that puts on pounds that turns into fat. You'd be surprised how many food items have it !! Hope this helps.

Well, I exercise A LOT!! - and traded beer for Rum (less cals and don't need as much to catch a buzz).
I'm 6'4". My goal is 240. I was 292; but I'm pretty muscular - never really fat. Cut out the protein weight gainers and switched to Designer Whey for muscle mass (only 180 calories vs. the 600+ on the Muscle Milk). I've been stuck on 250 for 3 weeks now. Basically just trying to pay attention to my calorie intake and not snacking anymore.... I hear ya about the corn syrup - it seems to be everywhere!! - even in "healthy" foods like granola bars and such. ugh.... |

No Prob - I don’t post every week , no biggy
PROTEIN (You mentioned it) You must ingest protein every meal for the following : 1) Compared to carbohydrates and fats , it is very difficult t store as fat . We usually assimilate it or excrete it. 2) It cannot be stored and used later , unlike fats and carbs. As a result you must keep ingesting protein throughout the day to meet your body’s needs . 3) Metabolism boosting effects . It can kick start your body’s metabolism . 4) Ability to satiate . Protein makes you feel full unlike many carbs . TRY TO EAT ONE OF THESE EACH DAY : CHICKEN - ( White breast skinless ) FISH - ( Canned , fillets , steaks , raw) EGG WHITES COTTAGE CHEESE VEGGIE MEATS WHEY PROTEIN SHAKES - (without the sugar) RED MEAT (lean) SEAFOOD - (Lobster , Scallops , Shrimp -It’s the sauce adds calories)

ANOTHER TIP : WHAT NOT TO DRINK :
Here is a list of what many people in North America drink on a weekly basis. If you consume only ONE OF EACH at some point during the week you would total 2,630 calories by weeks end , and by the end of the year an amazing 137,760 calories or divide by 3500 (one LB of fat) = 3936 POUND OF FAT Just by drinking liquids ... GATORADE : 16 OUNCE = 100 CAL WINE , 5 OUNCE = 100 CAL O.J. - 8 OUNCE = 110 CAL BEER : 12 OUNCE = 150 CAL COCA COLA : 16 OUNCE = 200 CAL GIN + TONIC (2 OUNCE GIN) = 210 CAL WHITE CHOCOLATE MOCHA STARBUCKS = 450 CAL !!! CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM SHAKE , BURGER KING = 600 CAL
