My Yankee ticket buying experience this morning

Received an email from the Yankees that regular season tickets went on sale this morning at 10 AM so I decided to try my luck for a game this summer

I picked out the August 8th game against the Red Sox and got through right at 10 and the games was already sold out, no big suprise

So I looked over the schedule for another Saturday game that there would be less demand for and decided on July 25th against the A's

I typed in "best available" as my choice for tickets and waited 10 minutes as it processed my transaction then all of a sudden a pair popped up. SWEET I scored a pair but then I scrolled down to see the tickets they gave me

Section Legends Suite right behind home plate with a face value of.................. $2625 per ticket

Needless to say I put those back in the mix, waited another 20 minutes, and settled on a pair of uppers that came to $110 for the pair

$2625 per ticket is absurd and I can not believe anyone would pay that much for a 3 hour ball game

totally with you bud... I can't remember the last time I actually paid for Tix... I think back in 1997 - bought em from a dude whose friends couldn't make it - $20/pop row 26 above the Rangers Dugout... lol. Couldn't believe it. The rest have all been given to me... one good thing about the Rangers sucking and living in the South..

My Ranger tickets... in the future...

My phone rings.... "What's up!?!"

Friend: "hey man, got some Ranger tickets for Friday's game, you wanna go?"

Me: "How many? Who's goin?"

Friend: "got 4 - trying to place the other two if you and I go."

Me: "Are they suite tickets? Free Beer/Food?"

Friend: "No, but they're 26 rows behind the dugout. They're good seats."

Me: "Well, call me if you need a wingman - i.e. get some hot chicks and I'll think about it"

Never been able to get girls to come with me to a Baseball game. Many Hockey games and even an NFL game once but Baseball seems to be where they draw the line.

Yup, baseball is probably the easiest game to get girls too....there's beer, it's outside, and the game is slow so they don't get lost, if they even care by the fifth inning (which I usually don't, being a Jays fan).
