Need some help oh a hip surgery

A while back I talked about a friend who has cancer and was a Vietnam Vet. About a year ago he had to have a hip replacement. The hip replacement did not work. The hip will pop out on its own and when its put back in it sounds like hell. Now that he is so sick he is unable to have surgery to help this problem. Do any of you have any idea what we can do ? Its so unfair for a guy who is already dieing to have to go thru with this. Since he is a vet he had this done in Reno Nevada at a Vet hospital. We need to do something and I am looking for some help. Its bad enough that he is dieing. The fire department just left his house as it came out when he was getting out of bed. If any of you have any ideas we would greatly appreciate it. Its a phucked up deal and the government is not helping him at all. He was good enough to do two tours in Vietnam but not good enough to get any support from our government system. Thanks

Have him move to Mexico renounce his U.S. citizenship then sneak back into the country illegally and he will be able to get anything he needs.

If true this is disgusting. I would actually write to Congressman or Senator and explain the situation. How can someone do 2 tours in Nam and then when his hip fails him the govt. turns their back on him?

I actually never thought talking to my Congressional office makes a difference but I got in contact with them once after being advised to do so and my situation was rectified nearly immediately.

Not saying this is a quick fix but it doesn't hurt to try....I am a believer.

Good ole John Conyers helped me out.

Thanks MtrCtyPimp, it is horrible. He had a new hip put in but it pops out and he flops on the floor like a fish out of water. Now that he is so sick with Cancer we worry that they won't want to do another surgery. Its Veterans day today and it makes me sick that this man has given his life up for all of us and now no one will help. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. We are at a lose on what to do but as bad as he life is he should be able to at least walk around with out worrying about his hip popping out. Its horrible trust me. Thanks again

MtrCityimp is right. Call your elected officials. Surprisingly enough it actually works.

Make sure you tell them you are voting resident and that you hope he can do something. This the kind of story that whomever helps would probably do a PR thing and get a benefit out of it (not saying is right or fair, but it is what it is).
