What's you resume look like? Do you have any skills? What have you done in the past that might help you out there? Why are you moving out there? Gambling life? I've heard bad stories of people "thinking" that they were just going to move out there and work and gamble. Used to be lots of construction going on, but with all the illegals working for lower pay, it might be tougher than one might expect. Not sure about the cab job though. Would think that there wouldn't be a shortage of them there. Good Luck.

Find Catdaddy out there today and tell him to use his connections to get you a job at the Mustang ranch.

It could be dangerous as Vegas does attract a lot of undesirables.

Why not become a dealer???

Bert,

I can tell you my friend, that if it were not for my wifes family being here in VA, I would have sold the house and moved to Vegas. Last year, I spent a lot of time in Vegas and I don't mean, the strip, my uncle lived out there and he was very sick.

He lived out in Summerlin which is west of the strip.

I would love to move out there!

The cost of living is much less than here in Northern VA and you don't pay state income tax, although the sales tax is a little higher. I would not move there just for the gambling. It is a nice fringe benefit. You gotta love the hot weather as I was there in June and it was 115!! I went back in November and the day time highs were in the upper 30's

Becoming a dealer is not as great as it seems, I was told that they make min wage and a percentage of the tips.

It is still one of my goals to move out there.

Good luck buddy, I hope you make it out there!

The CiscoKid
