Neighbor from hell jailed 18 yrs.

Barry Ardolf was sentenced to 18 years in jail after turning the lives of a couple living next door into a living hell — all to get revenge on them for telling police he kissed their 4-year-old son on the lips.
The 46-year-old was charged with distributing child porn and aggravated identity theft for his hacking work between fall 2008 and May 2009.
“Significantly, he feels no remorse for his crimes, explaining … that he engaged in the actions against his neighbors because he was ‘victimized,’” prosecutor Timothy Rank wrote in court papers.
In the threatening emails sent to Biden, Ardolf wrote as his neighbour: “I’m assigning myself to be judge, jury and executioner. I swear to God I’m going to kill you!”
Ardolf also created a MySpace page using his neighbour’s name, and then posted child porn on it and wrote how he could get away with it because he is a “darn good lawyer.”
As well, he posed as a mistress using a fake email account to send messages to his neighbour’s wife about affairs.
“Barry Ardolf has demonstrated by his conduct that he is a dangerous man. When he became angry at his neighbors, he vented his anger in a bizarre and calculated campaign of terror,” Rank wrote.
“Over months and months, he inflicted unfathomable psychic damage, making the victims feel vulnerable in their own home, while avoiding detection.”
The hacking incidents started not long after Matt and Bethany Kostolnik moved into their dream home. Ardolf allegedly kissed their son the day after they moved in.
The FBI — involved after the Biden death threats — eventually traced the hacking to Ardolf’s computer and searched his home. They found data from Kostolniks’ computer, hacking manuals and handwritten revenge plans.
Authorities also found documents containing personal information about Ardolf’s previous neighbours, including their Social Security numbers, and a letter reading, “I told you about a year ago that you should be very afraid. I can destroy you at will.”
Those neighbours told the FBI they believe he was upset at them for allowing their disabled twin daughters’ caretakers to park in front of his house.
