doesn't matter..... people use neteller for things other than transfering $$$ to and from online gambling sites.... I just got an email from FIREPAY stating that as soon as Bush signs the bill, all transactions TO online gambling sites will be blocked... and 10 days AFTER the bill is signed al transactions FROM offshore accounts TO firepay (i.e. withdrawing your money from the sportsbook) will no longer be allowed.... I'm sure neteller will have a similar policy.

So, just saying that they will stay in the US market is meaningless.... you will still be able to transfer money to and from your bank to neteller... that doesnt mean they will allow you to transfer money from neteller to an online gambling site.

johnny - Neteller has stated they will stay the same and continue to deal with the US. It is possible I suppose that a bank would stop you from sending funds to a company like neteller but I don't think so. They are a legitimate company. I think neteller and future netellers will be the future of online gambling even more than they are right now

As far as specific policies, not sure exactly what you are looking for

If neteller did as you are saying - they might as well go out of business. this is still the majority of their business. I respectfully disagree

Press release

NETELLER Continues To Deliver On Diversification Strategy

NETELLER Plc (LSE: NLR), the leading independent online money transfer business, today announced the latest milestone in its market diversification strategy by formally launching two new country specific versions of its service in Denmark and Sweden. The Company also confirms its position regarding the US SAFE Port Act.

US Safe Port Act Position
As stated in an announcement of 2 October 2006, the Company, in conjunction with its advisers, continues to monitor the progress of the Act and likely resultant regulations. The Company expects to have a clearer view of how financial services companies can comply and any possible resulting impact on its business as the regulations are drafted in the 270 days following the signing of the Act. In the meantime, the Company will continue to operate its business to minimise any potential adverse impact, maintaining existing customer and merchant support across all the markets it currently serves.

All is good until the Federal Reserve, Treasyury Department and Attorney General (not to mention the input from the banking lobby) can agree on regulations for financial institutions to work under. Those meetings will be a freaking cluster f*ck and I see them using the full nine months and maybe not even coming to an agreement by then. The enforcement side of this is going to be a joke.
