NETeller Threatens Legal Action Against YouTeller
Beleaguered online third party payment processor NETeller has threatened to take legal action against YouTeller, a new processor that promises to take over where NETeller left off in the US-focused Internet gambling sector. Many operators are anxiously awaiting YouTeller's debut, though there is a high degree of caution.

An inquiry has been made by NETeller's legal counsel in regard to the use of YouTeller's name, specifically the TELLER-suffixed branding, which NETeller suggests is "confusing" to the consumer.

Speculation has risen in recent weeks that YouTeller may have been started by either former or current NETeller executives, at least in part. YouTeller has remained very secretive as to who is behind their startup company.

NETeller also accused YouTeller of "coat-tailing on NETeller's reputation and goodwill".

Don't tell that to the hundreds of NETeller customers in the United States still awaiting payment.

In January, two co-founders of NETeller were arrested and charged with money laundering and racketeering. NETeller, while not charged itself, immediately pulled out of the US market and has withheld much of the money owed to its US customers. They claim the US Justice Department has seized said funds.

A number of customers have threatened to take legal action against NETeller as a result.
