Don't be scared pasco. Everything will be alright. lol

I totally disagree with your assessment of the mods. I was going to post this in BC's basement question thread but decided in here was just as well.

This has nothing to do with being out of control. Every single mod has a sense of humor and a good grasp on what is allowed and not allowed. Some have better than others but they all can laugh and appreciate good humor and try to give the benefit of doubt. The problem is some other posters are out of control. It’s downright negative, babyish and annoying. There are a about a half dozen people who have received more warnings than one could ever imagine, both in the forum and privately through email. I believe that’s the problem because some show “little respect” for the few forum rules and it is past the time to start cleaning it up. The warnings for the same old people are over with. Humor is good but crossing the line over and over again is just foolish JMO

Some of it is ridiculous. I think Sara said it best last week in her pick thread – there is no problem with quick triggers; the mods give these people every little opportunity.

DO mods ever make mistakes? Of course they do, including me. We all make mistakes or occasionally show poor judgment. All of the moderators are human and to expect a moderator to be perfect is unfair. There are times when there are quick decisions that need to be made and we don’t always make the right one. I am confident that 90% of the time we do and if we don’t, it’s internally discussed so we can improve the next similar situation. No one is excluded from “what is right”, moderator or not but there is a proper way to do it.

Some people need to just stop acting like they are the neighborhood PC gang or sheriff’s office. It’s easy to act like a bad ass behind your computer screen. Everyone is a tough guy and unfortunately ego and pride do get in the way. All in all – we just need to clean up anything that gets in the way of growing Cappers Mall and continue to be a great forum for the majority of members.

We give an inch, some take a mile and really enough is enough! The blatant disrespect of the forum, its rules and its members is over and done with. Sure newbie’s sometimes do not understand what’s acceptable and a warning may be in order but for some of the veterans – the rules have not changed but they will be more strictly enforced.

Jay – don’t take this answer personally. You asked a question and I chose this thread to say these things but they were going to be said somewhere, whether this thread, or several other threads. I like you. In fact, I like most of our members – I am just tiring of the unnecessary stuff and unfortunately we are going to have to treat some like kids because they act like them.

Good to be back

Thanks for the early morning humor Jay!lol!!

There is a lot to be said for consistancy, most people don't care if Jack is here or not, they still don't pay attention to the rules or respect them. Many members are out of control abusing the rules here everyday. Maybe we should start writing posts about how we are scared to come to the mall for fear that we have to babysit grown ups all day. Oh wait, that would be a complete waste of time, why would we want to do that? We will just leave it up to the membership to P&M about us. Maybe someday people will realize it is a two way street. Acton = reaction. But then again, history suggests maybe not.

Quacker, I do not know you well enough to pretend to understand why you insist on being the resident "button pusher" here at Cappers Mall, but I would suggest that it is getting old and that either you should try harder, of give it up.

Just my two cents . . . . . .
