New toy

Well I bit the bullet.

Toshiba satellite laptop running Vista.
800 bucks! not bad really 0n sale at staples.
Still tryin to figure the damn thing out, put in a bunch of bookmarks on f/fox last night but they were`nt anywhere to be found this mornin
Oh well, will take time as Im not a teen anymore.
But you can bet your ass that my 2nd half bet on the Giants for 50.00 went through LOL.

The other machine, a desktop, is still in good shape if I can eliminate the bug thats in it. This bug has hijacked my browser settings so that everytime I turned on that machine I would get security warnings and advised to d/load their virus removal tools. I even ran every app I had in `safe mode` and still could`nt get them out. Next step is to shut down system restore and try again.
Any other advice would be welcome boys and girls.
LOL I can just imagine some of the advice.

Back tonight with some plays.

what kind of bug is it? I had a problem long ago where i visited some website and that website would become my homepage. I then went to that site and click on remove or something and it went away.

What virus removal tool is it advising you to download? If you do a google search on the removal tool you will probably find out how to remove it. I've seen this alot with winfixer, spyfalcon, etc.

Something called `udefender` from a website called, get this, ''safe web navigate'' LOL.
Anyway Spysweeper pulled another trojan out last night while I was running in safe mode with system restore disabled. The irony now is that this bug has disabled my network access card it seems, so now I will have to also buy and install another one.
Will google this info to see what comes up.

thx guys T
