New tv

Just got a new 50" plasma at Sears the other day for football season. It's 600Hz has 3 HDMI ports, also supports 720p 1080i/1080p I am just pumped up. I can't wait to set it up this week.

This is the model I got if anyone wants to check it out its a great deal on these right now: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...1&blockType=G1

I know in the specs it does say only 720p but that is incorrect.

Thanks, Ive been looking at tv's for the last 4 months, the goal was to have one by football season. I'm so happy I got finally decided to pull the trigger and get one. I could not pass up the deal they had $599 plus a $50 mail in rebate.

I seen this model hooked up to a Comcast HD box for a baseball game and it looked amazing. I'm getting my HD box in the morning when I wake up so I can't wait.

My last model I bought about 10 yrs ago was a floor model 36" Sony that still works fine it was just outdated.

This is a big upgrade for me, and I always wanted a flat screen. & I guess since my old TV was a floor model, that this TV could be considered my first brand new TV I have ever purchased. I'm so excited

LG has owned Zenith now for a while, so its pretty much a LG with a Zenith name if that helps. Samsung is big in the U.S. But LG is like the king of Europe for TV's.

Got the HD box and fired it up, wow just wow. I am so impressed with the picture. Tennis looks great, watching a old Hockey game now on NHL HD. The picture is just un-real. I'm so excited. I can not wait for all the football this weekend.

Wow that is crazy, but I have to say I am not shocked.

I have been looking at this model since fathers day, for that fathers day weekend it was $599 like for Friday-Sunday. I checked everyday since then, and the TV price went from $699-$664. Last Thursday it was at $664 Then on Friday it went to $599 + a $50 mail in rebate. I ordered it online Friday and picked up from the store on Saturday.

The mail in rebate info is under the price, you have to click mail in rebate.
But I just checked and it says no rebate available. Sears had it for the weekend on all plasmas priced $399 and up.

If you like the model just wait it will go on sale again im sure.

Looks bad ass. My model also offers 1080i/1080p Sears has it wrong on there specs by saying only 720. It says different in the owners manual and if you call LG they will confirm that it does support the 1080 formats.

The only thing between the two models (I researched them both and seen both in action. Was that the VIERA had the extra bulk trim on the sides, the Zenith had mostly screen and less trim, Also the VIERA I hear went off the path of it's rich black and blue colors, something that put that TV on top of the market. My source was C-net for that. I know stores don't fine tune Tv's on the floor, but in my floor by floor look of them both, I just liked the Zenith better.

If you do decide to go VIERA, for sure check out walmart.com they have some of the best prices for those models.
