New Word Game--See post #1 for rules and please follow them

Going to try a new, more challenging word game which is alittle more challenging and does have "winner" at the end of each cycle.

This game has a few rules which must be followed in order for it to be flow and be played easily. Please pay attention to the following simple rules and look at the sample I have provided. Any questions, please ask.

RULES:

-- Change one and only one letter
-- You can drop the first letter and add to the end or visa versa
-- Word must be in dictionary.com but, no proper names (starts with caps), acronyms (all caps), abbreviations (ends with a ".") or "Chaucer" words.
-- You can't post two words in a row
-- Re-use of previously played words is prohibited and you will be mocked incessantly if you do
-- Failure to keep the used word board current is also subject to mocking
-- This is supposed to be a fun game period -- no bitching and moaning

Sample of how a game would play out if started with the word LOSER:
loser, lower, cower, cover, overt, avert, alert, blert, blurt, blunt, brunt, runts, punts, pants, rants, antsy, wants, wanes, wines, winds, wands, bands, binds, birds, bards, cards, cares, bares, bared, bored, booed, boned, boxed, boxer, bower, boner, loner, toner, atone, baton, baron, bacon, racon, recon, rewon, rewin, sewin, sewen, sewer, sewed, sawed, cawed, pawed, pared, spare, snare, snore, shore, share, shard, shark, stark, stalk, stall, still, stilt, tilts, tints, stint, stink, sting, tinge, hinge, singe, binge, bingo, ingot, lingo, lings, bling, sling, cling, fling, flint, faint, saint, paint, point, joint, joins, coins, coons, moons, moans, moats, goats, boats, coats, coals, foals, fools, foods, fords, forts, forks, dorks, corks, corky, dorky, darky, darby, derby, derry, berry, burry, burro

Goal is to post a word which cant be used to form another word, thereby ending the game. Poster who used "BURRO" was the winner in this example.

Going to start with a word to see if we can get this running smoothly.

Breaking my own rules as I will make 2 consecutive posts to show how to keep the posts consistent by updating the used word list each time.

starting word: train

Whens is always a great word to know.

So is callithumpian. Does it mean:

a children's mummer's parade, as on the Fourth of July, with prizes for the best costumes.

a printed punctuation mark (‽), available only in some typefaces, designed to combine the question mark (?) and the exclamation point (!), indicating a mixture of query and interjection, as after a rhetorical question.
