NFL All Star vs CFL All Star

So this question came up in a different thread. According to our neighbors to the north (still bitter about losing on sunday); they say they wouldnt be surprised the CFL beats the NFL. I say its nuts.

So, what do you think would be the line?
who would cover? final score?

I say:

NFL -17.5 and 57.5 -120

NFL wins 45-12

thoughts?

The Detroit Lions beat their best team by 3 TD's. Their All-Stars probably lose to Alabama.

Personally I know this will get off track at some point because of the USA vs Canada thing. Hope it doesn't cause I like our Canadians

Back to topic - I don't think you would have many Canadians who follow football say that the CFL would compete with any NFL team. No way, different athlete, different animal.

There are very few that can even make the transition from CFL to NFL (one plays on Dolphins and I love him)

Seriously though I think -17.5 is a gift because I think any NFL team would beat any CFL team by triple digits minimum

I said earlier ATS line would open NFL-12 but I'll think a bit more on this.

O/U Line: Will Vegas meet us halfway since the CFL avg line is 52.2? and NFL 42.5? How about 48.5?

Game goes UNDER the number since the NFL has superior D.

Whose ball are we using? First Half CFL and Second Half NFL?...could go OVER then.

CFL loves to pass 20+ yds so they would easily cover the +12 or any ATS line for that matter.

Final Score: NFL 17 CFL 24 or NFL 24 CFL 27

this is kinda like the UCONN women vs any mens college team that someone posted the other day.

The size and athleticism difference would be overwhelming. Some skill position players for the CFL could maybe hang in if they had great games, but the difference on the Offensive & Defensive lines would be outrageous. The CFL team would get blown off the line each and every play

NFL would put a hurt on CFL. Nothing against Canada, hell I like Canada, but the truth is the truth.
