No driving while on a cell phone, BS

I was driving today and had a cop behind me who was talking and laughing on the phone. The kid must have been in his early 20's but its ok for him to talk for over 20 minutes while driving down the road. A kid trained to be a cop has no better driving skills then an adult. The law is a bogus law and its just one more way for them to collect money. The cop ended up following me into a IN/OUT burger and when he was in line behind me he talked and talked for over 5 minutes. When I got to the window the lady said, "can you believe that that cop has been on his phone thru the whole line". I said, no he was on the phone blocks away from here as he followed me here. We both talked about what BS the law was and I told her to tell him that I thought it was BS that he was on the phone the entire time. She told him and then guess what, the prick followed me out of town and onto the freeway. When he pulled up a long side me I refused to look at him. I have come to the conclusion that most cops are kids who got their asses kicked in high school and have a gun now so they can be tough. This law is bull s hit and I refuse to attach at tumor to the side of my head. Later in life I am sure that people will start sueing the state because the blue tooths cause brain cancer. California is a phucked up state and we pay more for everything. The government loves to make rules and I love to break them. Life was better in the 70's...

I saw the same thing the other day here in LA.

I've noticed a lot of people talking on the phone still, the only difference is they aren't holding it to there head but instead using the speaker function witch IMO is more dangerous... what next No drinking water in your car? or wearing a helmet when driving?

live free... But not in this state.

Next time someone runs a red light or fails to stop and kills your family member due to talking or texting on a cell phone then u will be on here whining and crying a different tune....

I see it 2 ways....if u chat and drive normal then I dont give a fuk...if u chat and roll a stop or a center line thenF you...u get the ticket and have a nice day.

Oh....u have no clue the drivers training that is given in the academy either..matter of fact...

I call BS to your whole post and story.....no way in hell some drive thru worker gives a fuk about anyone or you on a cell regardless of who you are..

FYI...I have yet to get my ass kicked EVER by anyone....have a good day and leave the weed at home next time as you might get hit with that too along with the cell phone ticket

thats the problem, the "accident" can happen anytime. you can chat and drive normal 9 out of 10 times, but if that tenth time you don't notice the stop sign or the red light and it results in an accident, then you fcked up.

kinda like people who drive drunk alot or all their lives and get away with it because they are capable of driving right without the speeding or weaving. It's the weavers/speeders/reckless bassards (which are most because thats what beer does to you obviously) who get pulled over because its suspicious/obvious they are drunk.

only with cell phones, its more obvious in broad daylight who is violating that law. If you're drunk and driving you can actually hide that pretty well (unfortunately) as long as you drive within normal limitations and not speed or weave.

haha, my father had to pay 100€ coz he was phoning while driving his caterpilla (like 15 km/h or even slower) and the cop stopped him... since that day he got a tiny radio in there and puts it to his ear to make fun out of ****tards that stop him for phoneing with the mobile while driving a vehicle...

over here we got a telling: if you can't make it through the elementry school - apply at the closest police department.

this is a good law... too many morons don't know how to drive even when they are not using a cell phone let alone when they are using one. they should also ban smoking cigs and putting on makeup

a law that would be ok to bitch about would be the seatbelt law.. now thats something you might be able to bitch about padding their pockets.

BP go phuck yourself. Went thru the academy when in 1998 and driving academy is ajoke. They had us drive in oil and keep the car under control. They sent us thru a course making hard turns. The test could have been passed by a beginning driver. And as far as getting hit by a person on a telephone, oh well, what about movies in cars are they soon going to ask dealers to take those out of cars. Your pissed because you know cops who are on a power trip. I don't give a shit if you have never been beaten up that has nothing to do with this thread as I said "MOST" are people who had their asses kicked. I guess your not most and I guess you are a really tough guy, lol. Cops suck around here and I know one that is a sherriff and I must have kicked his ass 10 times in high school. I carry a gun I am a bad ass, thats their attitude and they like you can blow me.

I love it, great post, idiot be big man with gun in hand. We had a local Police officer shoot a Jack russell because he felt threatened. He was threatened by a 20 pd dog. Can you imagine when he meets up with a human weighing 100 pds. He is dead meat. I have friends who are cops as a matter of fact one of them went to a domstic violence call last night and he was shot in the arm. I want to make this clear, not all cops are bad but the bulk of them are on power trips and were beaten like dogs while they were in school.

my father could prolly write a book or make a comic book with things that happend to him due 'dumb' police officers...
as foreman on the construction yard, you have to move the vehicles from time to time from one construction yard to another... before 6am, you aint allowed to make noise... and at 7am the rush hour starts and if you want to move the caterpiller or shover then, you need police escort...

and some day my father was stopped by a partywagon (we call those trucks that way, as it ain't a real party if those dudes dont come around)... the driver gets off and stops my dad telling him, that he got no number plate at the caterpiller. my father replies: 'i never had one on it' and the officer starts bitching and slashing paragraphs about 'every vehicle that want to use federal and official *bleh* needs a number plate' and my father replied sth like: 'sorry, i didn't make it past the 4th grade and prolly i can't argue with the law as i didn't have all those paragraphs for breakfast or in my vacational training, but the last paragraph you named, surely has a (2) excluding certain vehicles, like construction vehicles.

then he checked his watch and jumped off the caterpiller and left it standing on the road, as it was 7am and told the officer that he has to call the boss telling him aout that. the other 5 officers in the truck were laughing about the other officer. actually, i try to remember if i ever saw one of those ****ers laughing, i can't remember a single time.
