No hitter... Not perfect

Ervin Santana did his part in the Los Angeles Angels 3-1 victory over the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday. Santana threw 105 pitches, 76 of those were strikes, to end the game in the 3rd no-hitter in the majors this season. Santana also became the 1st Angel to pitch a no-hitter since Mike Witt's perfect game in 1984. What kept Santana from perfection? A 1st inning error & an 8th inning walk, that's what! Should Santana's performance be in the same category as Mike Witt's perfect game?*
