Which Officials control the game?
What sport has more interference from the officials?
Who is the worst official? Chron.com : Matt Downs latest Astros player to have beef with umpire, accountability Matt Downs latest Astros player to have beef with umpire, accountabilityZachary Levine 08/10/2011 1:52 AM PHOENIX – Among the parade of late at-bats in which the Astros had a chance to avoid wasting a tremendous offensive day in what would ultimately be an 11-9 loss, Matt Downs owned one of them. With two men on in the ninth, representing the tying runs, the pinch-hitter Downs took the count to 3-1 against J.J. Putz. He took a pitch that he felt was inside but one that CB Bucknor called a strike. Downs struck out swinging on the next pitch. After the game, Downs wanted to speak his mind publicly about the call that turned the at-bat against him. “It changes the game completely when it goes from 3-1 walk to 3-2 and then I strike out,” Downs said. “I get tired of umpires going back to the hotel and thinking they did a good job on the night and I have to go back to the hotel on a failure night after I feel like I walked 3-1 instead of punching out 3-2. Some kind of action has to be taken on just a bonehead call like that. “I said I think that ball is in, and he said if I didn’t swing next time, it would be 3-2 strikeout. He told me it was a strike all the way, it was a great pitch. After looking at the film, I realized that it was not. He said that he was not for the addition of replay or other technology, just that there should be some accountability after the fact. “My stats are put in the paper every day, everybody knows if I fail or succeed, and I feel like some kind of action has got to be taken where we realize if a guy’s blown a call or not and he’s accountable,” Downs said. |

So hes mad at the umpire because he struck out swinging.
His actions are in the paper because hes a ****in professional. If he doesnt want that information put down, get a 9-5 job

Well if he can't make it with the Stro's, 9-5 won't be far behind.
