Was OJ's sentence payback ?

Was OJ's sentence payback for getting away with murder ?

I think it was payback... 33 years/ 9 years seems a bit crazy to me

Also funny to see the majority of "legal analysts" supporting the decision on various news stations... Thats to be expected though... After all... they are lawyers lol

Do I feel sorry for him ? Hell no...

Replace OJ with jon doe from the street would u send him away 33 years for trying to get something stolen from him ?

I'm not sorry for him, most likely deserved it. This was DEFINITELY payback, however. The whole crime was set up and recorded by other criminals looking for lighter sentences. Total setup by justice department from beginning. Generally, an informant will tattle about ongoing crimes going on that they know about, not set up and CREATE A CRIME. He deserves it, but it really bothers me when people refer to the snitches who set him up as "victims."

he got the minimum. maximum would have been payback.

either way, glad to see some type of justice served. he'll only serve half the sentence though.

i dont feel sorry for him, but to have people like the goldmans in the courtroom is complete bs....only like 60 people allowed in the courtroom and somehow they get access..if i was oj i would be getting all over my lawyers....judge states past cases had no reflect on this one, but thats obv untrue. Our justice system is a joke and I hope I never ever have to go through again in my life

justice system was never more of a joke then when this guy walked for killing 2 people though.

if i was the goldmans i would have gone through anything possible to be there for this. maybe they didn't have to be there but them being there had no bearing on what happened.

he got the minimum possible sentence, i doubt the goldmans are all that thrilled. their son is still dead

Minimum sentence is 6 years, understand you're trying to say for what he got away with though. Sentence was not too harsh because he rejected a plea deal, and even if it wasn't a solid deal, he's a moron not to take it. How can you not take the deal unless you're a complete idiot, I mean you're OJ Simpson and you know the judge is going to nail you to the wall otherwise she would have been ridiculed.

your missing the point man.....explain to me why and how they were in the courtroom? This has nothing to do with what happened almost 2 decades ago and them being there shows that everyone including the judge had the past on the back of there mind...****ing bs if you ask me sir

to be honest when i was watching on court tv a few months ago i think they were asked to be there for the trial as witnesses in some form by the state but were never asked to testify though i might be wrong.

don't think them being there made any difference since he got the minimum, he'll serve half the sentence and walk again, goldmans still wont get a penny.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?
