OMG Nightmare experience with SIA

i know what you guys are thinking, why SIA? i like how their website handles parlays. anyway, here is what happened. i use this book for small bets, always parlays. i buy those $20-30 gift cards for depositing, and when i bust, i just chuck the card and buy another one. once in a rare while, i can get my balance into the hundreds and go from there. thats all i use this book for. it's fun.

now for the last couple of weeks i did pretty good and submitted a withdrawal. suddenly it aint easy any more. for "security purposes" they want me to register my banking information with them, copies of my id card, bank statement, phone bill, etc, and if i choose i can fax it to them. now i dont know what people think about this but i just cant imagine an identity theif who would steal someone's identity to risk their own money on sports wagering. and apparantly other books feel the same way as they dont require something so useless.

regardless, i register. but it aint over. now they want scanned copies of the front and back of all the gift cards --- and i mean ALL of the cards--- that i've used with them since i started using them. really. who keeps a non-reloadable $30 gift card from 5 months ago? apparantly they must keep theirs. and exactly what is this "security" for? to protect victims of gift card burgulars who had their cards used at their book? wtf. how many have they caught?

every time they send me an email it begins with... "Thank you for doing this and that, unfortunately..." "Thank you for submitting your withdrawal, unfortunately..."

im so frustrated with them right now that i have to vent. that saying about sweating the game and then sweating the payout, must be talking specifically about these guys.

anyway, i found a few old cards lying around that i had used. i scan and emailed them to the book. also included were information on where the cards were purchased and the websites of the card companies (other required information). why do they need this stuff? i have no ****ing clue. according to them, they are based in canada and regulated by kahnawake gaming, or whatever. at this point im sure this has nothing to do with security and everything to do with them not wanting to pay me. they have no problems accepting deposits though. buttholes. ill have an update on how this goes.

I used SIA 5 years ago and they pulled a similar stunt on me the second I tried to cash out my entire balance...They even went as far as to request a stamped bank note stating what I sent them wasn't fake.. SIA are the worst sportsbook I ever encountered

really don't you guys think what theyre asking for is crazy? does anyone keep 5 month-old non-reloadable gift cards?

these guys are asking me to find and scan over 25 gift cards from now to back until march of this year. im a reasonable guy, but this is absurd.

These days only hang with the big boys.. Bet Jam & Greek are the best and only #s to use these days since the cutoff of US customers by Pinnacle..

BODOG wil phuck u over too. Used to be a semi decent book, but no more..

I had this similar thing happen to me with a poker site called city poker......all i did was explain to them that they were no reloadable gift cards and of course I had thrown them out. They cashed my withdrawl and said next time to scan a front and back copy before I toss them (hopefully they will do the same for u)


The reason they need the front and back, is to proove u actually have these cards and also by you sending and signing these forms, u are waving your right to file a complaint with the card carrier of an unlawful or innacurate charge....so they are jus protecting themselves from chargebacks....Im sure they are fully aware of the difficulties of funding sportsbooks nowadays and if u explain to them that u tossed out the cards immediately after use because they were gift cards I am sure they will understand.....Make sure u mention the loyalty to their company for such and such long in yrs and then if that doesnt work make sure u tell them u will be taking your future action elsewhere.

Since they seem to be so worried about your deposit funds ( $30 ) or whatever it was, tell them to keep the original, just go ahead and send you your winnings, over and above the $30 ............. just a thought...GL bro
