One good sign you are capping games right/well

I was just thinking about this.....

It may seem obvious and simple, but I bet some people over look it :

The majority of the games you lose on whatever sport u are betting on, how are u losing them ?

Are they close and u just luck out ? or are alot of the teams u back getting blown out ?

If the former that generally its a good sign and you have a better chance of winning long term on that sport.

What got me thinking about this was thinking about several bets I've lost in the last few days, nearly all of them have been close.

Much better sign to lose them this way even how pissed u feel at the time lol.

Good post Dave. I usually feel better about losing a blowout, rather than having the win dangling in front of my face only to lose by a blocked extra point or something.

But you're right, losing that way is a fluke; so it should be viewed as being on the right side.

wow this post really got me thinking
as simple as what you say is, it got me going along with another thought

how often do you look back at your previous bets, win or lose? Do you ever really stop and think about what line they offered and where the game ended, and how they accounted for the difference as far as betting psychology goes?

it seems to me the key for all of us, if we really want to be our best, is to not only cap games forward but to better understand the spreads and outcomes looking backwards

i mean think about it for a minute...yes you look at previous game results when you cap going forward, but how often do you analyze just the psychology of the steam itself and the padded points? i know i have never done this really

thank you dave nz i now have a new mission
